Notice: Kittilä Airport – Ylläs Bus Transfers

Important!

· We strongly recommend always reserving your bus ticket in advance at Matkahuolto.fi at least 18 hours before travel, regardless of the time of day. This is the best way to secure your transport.

· Please note: There is no bus service for Finnair flight AY639.

Night Services (9:00 PM – 10:00 AM)

Operation: Scheduled bus services operate between Kittilä Airport and Ylläs from 9:00 PM to 10:00 AM exclusively by seat reservation. This applies to flights with arrival or departure times within this period (excluding flight AY639, for which there is no service). The bus does not make detours to specific addresses; it follows the same route as the regular daytime service.

Seat Reservations and Ticket Purchase: Advance reservations are mandatory for these night services. Tickets must be purchased from the Matkahuolto.fi website. Tickets cannot be bought directly from the bus for night services, and reservations cannot be made by phone or email.

Service Operation: The bus service will not operate if no seat reservations have been made.

Important: Online ticket sales close 18 hours prior to the scheduled bus departure time. The bus size (seating capacity) is determined by the number of tickets purchased.

Tip: If your flight's arrival or departure time is right at the 9:00 PM cutoff, we recommend making a seat reservation to ensure your transport. A seat reservation is the only way to guarantee the bus will operate during night hours.

Day Services (10:00 AM – 9:00 PM)

Between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM, scheduled bus services operate normally between Kittilä Airport and Ylläs. Timetables and ticket purchases are available on the Matkahuolto.fi website.
